The history of West Roxbury is continued in this map print, that takes the reader from the 1850's to present day.  The Irish settlement into the Boston area brought many changes to the community, not all of them welcome immediately.  The coming of the railroads, and modern industry put their marks on the neighborhood, but through it all, West Roxbury has fought to remain rural, and somewhat separate from the rest of Boston.  The entire history, is spelled out in the margins of this 24X36 inch map.  It is printed on heavy bond paper, and is colored in neutral rusty aged tones to make it stand out as an outstanding piece in any room.
