Charlestown.
The northernmost part of Boston, Originally Charles Town, first settled in 1628 by some of the first puritan dissenters from England. The neighborhood would be one of the center stages for pivotal events in the beginning of the American Revolution, and echoes of those proud moments are reflected in many parts of the neighborhood today. The print is loaded with little-known facts about the area, and anyone familiar with 'C-Town' is bound to find something they didn't know. Interesting features of the area include the Charlestown Navy Yard, depicted in exacting detail, the Bunker Hill Monument, built ironically atop Breeds Hill, and many other details. This 36"X24" map print depicts Charlestown in 2008, and is finished in a deep cranberry color, and would be complimented wonderfully with a dark colored frame. |
